Since 2014, we have led the effort to reduce the impacts of litter on the environment, economy, and people.
A Greener Future works hand-in-hand with local communities to promote environmental preservation through organized litter cleanups, educational programs, and events. Our expanding family of volunteers are committed to creating a clean, healthy environment that can be sustained for generations.
Rochelle founded A Greener Future after coordinating a shoreline cleanup in her community and deciding that one cleanup per year just wasn't enough.
Rochelle has completed eight years of environmental post secondary education and has held several employment positions related to environmental education at Fleming College, the Riverview Park and Zoo, and the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters. Rochelle is the 2017 Environment Award recipient for the City of Pickering.
Chelsea is a nature photographer, travel enthusiast, and lifelong lover of our planet. From creating videos for an animal welfare project, to walking dogs, to guiding interpretive tours at a nature centre in the Cloud Forest of Costa Rica, her work history is somewhat eclectic. Whatever the project, she tries to instill compassion for the Earth and all living things in everything she does.
Chelsea studied Environmental Visual Communication at Fleming College and the Royal Ontario Museum. Using the skills learned through this program, she hopes to tell engaging stories about the work A Greener Future does, in order to educate and inspire people about waste-free living.
