World Cleanup Day at the Waterfront

Harbourfront Centre is a place where people from across Toronto come together for arts, culture, learning and recreation. On World Cleanup Day, we’re coming together for something just as important: caring for the waterfront we share.

A Greener Future is proud to return to Harbourfront Centre for the September UNSMOKE Butt Blitz. Join us as we remove cigarette litter from the surrounding waterfront and turn a global day of action into a visible local impact.

Last year, 57 volunteers collected 79,250 cigarette butts at this event.
What can we accomplish together this year?

Every cigarette butt collected will count toward our September goal of removing one million butts across Canada and will be sent to TerraCycle for recycling.

All cleanup supplies will be provided. Please wear closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a reusable water bottle.
