Join A Greener Future's Team on Tuesday, May 14th, 2024, at Beachfront Park to celebrate the Provincial Day of Action on Litter! The Love Your Lakes litter cleanup program is about coming together to protect and preserve the beauty of our lakes and surrounding areas.
Starting at 6:00 PM, we'll gather at Beachfront Park and embark on a sunset litter cleanup adventure. Armed with litter pickers, buckets, and a passion for our environment, we'll work together to pick up litter, ensuring our lakes remain clean and pristine.
This event is an excellent opportunity to meet like-minded individuals who share a love for nature and want to make a positive impact. Everyone is welcome to participate!
Since 2016, A Greener Future has run our Love Your Lakes program to help clean up waste found along the shore of Lake Ontario. With the help of volunteers, we've removed 982,505 pieces of litter from our green spaces and waterways through this program!
So, mark your calendars and spread the word! Let's come together as a community and show our lake some love. Together, we can make a difference and create a cleaner, healthier environment for all to enjoy.
Registration is required as space is limited.
Participants will be provided with all supplies and equipment.
High school community service hours can be earned at this event.
