Join us for a special World Friendship Day edition of Love Your Lakes at Richard’s Memorial Park in Mississauga!
On July 30, A Greener Future is hosting cleanups in each region we operate in to celebrate friendship, community, and the impact we can make when we show up together. Invite a friend, bring someone you care about, or come ready to make new friends while helping create cleaner parks, shorelines, and waterways.
Friendship Day Prize Draw: Each registered volunteer who checks in at the event will be entered to win a prize for themselves and a friend. Please make sure each person registers separately so we have everyone’s waiver and contact information ready to go.
At this event, volunteers will remove litter from the park and surrounding area while helping A Greener Future collect important data about what is ending up in the environment. This data helps us better understand litter trends and work toward long-term solutions.
No experience is needed. Our team will provide supplies, a quick orientation, and support throughout the cleanup. This event is designed to be relaxed and flexible, so come when you can and stay as long as you’re comfortable.
After the cleanup, stick around for a donut and a casual Friendship Day hangout with optional games. We’ll have time to connect, celebrate the impact made together, and enjoy the park.
Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable closed-toe shoes, and bring water. High school students can earn community service hours.
