1. Attend a Repair Cafe
Do you have a broken household item? Don’t toss it!
Celebrate Waste Reduction Week by bringing your broken/damaged small appliances, computers, electronics, clothes, jewelry, books, and more to the pop-up Repair Café at Whitby Central Library, Meeting Room 1, on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. to learn how to repair them with our expert volunteers.
This event is free, but slots are limited. Register today!
2. Join the Waste Reduction Event
In partnership with the Rotary Club of Whitby, recycle “hard-to-recyclable” items and help reduce your impact on our planet. Bring your old Brita filters, printer ink cartridges, toothbrushes, disposable razors, pens, markers and highlighters and drop them off at the designated boxes kept in the Library’s Front lobby. No registration is required.
