Beach Cleanup with Volleyball Canada and Volleyball United 🏐🌊

Join A Greener Future, Volleyball Canada, and Volleyball United for a special Love Your Lakes beach cleanup at Woodbine Beach.

As the volleyball community comes together for Beach Nationals, we’re teaming up to help keep Toronto’s waterfront clean, welcoming, and beautiful. Volunteers will remove litter from the beach and surrounding area while helping A Greener Future collect important data about what is ending up in the environment.

This event is part of Love Your Lakes, A Greener Future’s community cleanup program along Lake Ontario and connected waterways. August is the final month of the 2026 season, and we’re working toward our goal of 700,000 pieces of litter removed from parks, shorelines, and communities across the region.

Sport + Sustainability in Action

Beach volleyball and clean shorelines go hand in hand. This cleanup is a chance for athletes, fans, volunteers, and community members to come together, celebrate an incredible summer of sport, and leave the beach better than we found it.

No experience is needed. A Greener Future will provide cleanup supplies, a quick orientation, and support throughout the event. Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable closed-toe shoes, and bring water.

High school students can earn community service hours.
